Regulations

• Art. 1 - The event is open to all: adult of both sexes, athletes who have the FIDAL card or who have card of any other sports promotion body, in accordance with the current Sanitary Laws, respecting the agreements signed with FIDAL. Participation is open to competitors from 18 years onwards. The registration of the sport clubs must be submitted on letterhead and signed by the President, by mail, fax or in person, clearly indicating Name, Surname, birth date and card number of each athlete.
• Art.2 – The race will take place on the following path: Borgo San Lorenzo, via Faentina, Cardetole, San Piero a Sieve, Scarperia, i Crocioni, Senni, Bivio per Figliano, Luco del Mugello, Borgo San Lorenzo, Sagginale, Pontavicchio, Sagginale, Borgo San Lorenzo. Total: 42,195 Km. The footrace of 6 Km (named “Stracittadina”) will take place in areas surrounding the town, 15 minutes after the start of the Marathon.
• Art. 3 - The maximum time is set in five hours and thirty minutes (5h 30’)
• Art.4 – The meeting is set from 10.00 am of Saturday, September 17, 2011 at P.za Dante in Borgo San Lorenzo (FI). The departure time is fixed at 14.00.
• Art.5 – The participants will be divided into categories: Seniores (Men): until 1962 (inclusive) – Veterans: from 1961 and earlier – Women: unique.
• Art.6 – The route will be fully indicated by arrows and the competitors are required to respect the Highway Code.
• Art.7 – Will be set up regular checkpoints and also secret checkpoints. All those who will deviate from the route or make use of mechanical means and that will not have the race number in plain view will be disqualified.
• Art.8 – Is forbidden, for the athletes in the race, to be accompanied by athletes who are out of the race, on foot or bicycle. They will be subjected to immediate disqualification.
• Art.9 – The Marathon will take place whatever the weather.
• Art.10 – All the participants will find along the route, assistance and numerous refreshment stations and sponging stations.
• Art.11 – Each participant will be provided with a race number, which must be shown at the various checkpoints and visaed at the finishing line to the final check.
• Art.12 – The participants exempt the Organization from any and all liability for damages to persons or things that can happen during the event.
• Art.13 – The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any changes that may be necessary for the smooth running of the event, and it reserves the right to substitute the prizes with others of equal expected value.
• Art.14 – The current regulation is the UISP regulation.

By signing the registration form for the 38th edition of the Mugello Marathon, the participant, as for now, authorizes the Organization to free use images (fixed and/or moving) depicting his image. The latter is understood to be provided, indefinitely and without territorial limits, for use in printed publications and videos, including, by way of example and without limitations, promotional materials and/or advertising materials, carried on any type of support. The Organization can also give to third parties (which are its institutional and commercial partners) the usage rights provided herein.
